Vintage Breyer Horses are model horses that were made many years ago, some say 25 years. They have a treasured place in many collections, not only due to their rarity and beautiful details and gloss, but also because of the memories they inspire.
Vintage Breyer Models have a uniqueness all their own. This is the area to voice your opinion of exactly what you think makes a Vintage Breyer Model, well, “vintage”.
Is it the year it was made? Or maybe the plastic that was used? Or maybe it is the memories that model brings back. Some feel it is only the models made in the USA that should be considered Vintage. Some Collectors feel vintage is determined by the molders mark on the inside of the leg while others believe vintage is determined by age alone.
What do you think should be the deciding factor of a Vintage Breyer Model? And why?
